Routine Care Abroad

Getting Routine Care Abroad

If you are a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ student and have the GeoBlue insurance plan, you can see doctors or get medicine while you are traveling or studying in another country. This plan helps you get care for things like colds, minor injuries, mental health, or prescription refills.

How to Find a Doctor

Use the GeoBlue App or Website (Member Hub):

  1. Register at or download the GeoBlue app.
    • Use ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s group code: GTB9999NWBKT for students or QHG9999NWBTY for employees.
  2. Find a doctor near you.
    • Use the "Provider Finder" to look up doctors or clinics that speak English and are part of the GeoBlue network.
  3. Contact the doctor to make an appointment.

Paying for Your Appointment

  • If you use a GeoBlue doctor, you may not have to pay at the time of the visit. This is called Direct Pay.
  • After you make your appointment, request Direct Pay using the GeoBlue app or website.
    • Request this at least 2 days (48 hours) before your visit.

If Direct Pay is not arranged, you might need to pay yourself first and then ask GeoBlue for a refund.
