Emergency Notification Systems

Emergency response protocols at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.

Our emergency notification system disseminates timely information to the campus community in the event of a threat to safety affecting the University. This might include an AlertNU communication or a Crime Notice.

In the event of emergency, our Emergency Website is used to update the community on timely information and provide instructions.

What is an AlertNU?

Issued for immediate life-threatening dangers on or near campus, these alerts require urgent action. Follow instructions in AlertNU communications. Example: Active aggressor.

What is a Crime Notice?

Issued for serious or ongoing safety threats under the Clery Act, these notices provide important details and prevention tips. Examples include robbery, assault, vehicle theft, and hate crimes.

Who receives AlertNU notifications?

Students, faculty and staff automatically have their ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ email entered into the emergency notification system. Members of the larger community can enroll in AlertNU. Find out how to enroll on the Emergency Management website
