Sexual Assault Action Month (SAAM)

April is Sexual Assault Action Month!

The purpose of CSAW’s annual Sexual Assault Action Month (SAAM) campaign is to increase the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ community's understanding of the roots and impacts of sexual assault, to motivate all community members to contribute to prevention and survivor support efforts, and to foster connection and healing for sexual assault survivors. It's important for us to remain involved in prevention and to support survivors year-round, but April provides a dedicated time for us to center these important issues.

The 2025 theme for Sexual Assault Action Month is Collective Action, Collective Care. This year marks the April following the official merger of CARE with ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s Health Promotion and Wellness (HPaW) office. CARE and HPAW’s combined mission is providing outreach and education around holistic wellness through a lens of prevention, harm reduction, and survivor-centeredness in order to cultivate communities of care on campus.

This April we will focus on co-creating spaces of mutual support, collective action, and shared learning for survivors and all people who have been impacted by sexual harm with the understanding that work toward healing and well-being is always communal.
